This is the time where summer is ending and the need for a routine is necessary. Some of you are going back to a routine schedule involving work, school, and/or family. This is absolutely a perfect time to reevaluate your healthy life goals. So take a moment today and focus on making the appropriate and necessary changes that you can benefit from throughout the rest of this year. Whether it’s to lose a few pounds, increase your energy or improve your mood…. a healthy lifestyle routine is necessary to conquer the busy days ahead and all that comes with the seasonal changes (you know → sinus, allergies, viruses… 😉 )
Healthy Tip: Try to remain FOCUSED on the positives. You get a chance to try again each day you wake up! Remember how blessed you are to have that next opportunity!!
THE STRUGGLE IS REAL….
I have been struggling lately with my health. If you are following me on Instagram and Facebook, you may have seen posts about my recent diagnosis of SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth). This infection has definitely been the prime reason causing me to be absent from www.fitbodynourish.com. Seriously, Thank You!!! Thank y’all for all the sweet words and encouragement over the past few months. I am happy to say, I’m tackling this illness one day at a time and am feeling a little better each day. SIBO has definitely impacted my nutritional status and quality of life.
What is SIBO?
SIBO could be responsible for up to 84% of IBS cases. SIBO is when the bacteria from the large intestine overpopulate in the small intestine. That bacteria begins to colonize and cause a ruckus. Some of my main symptoms include but are not limited to: abdominal cramping, bloating, diarrhea, gas, chronic fatigue, joint pain, headaches, loss of concentration and possibly – nutrient malabsorption. SIBO symptoms are nonspecific making it easy to go undiagnosed.
Healthy Eating and Exercise Is Saving Me
All of my medical professionals (both Eastern and Western) had one very important and specific comment in common: “Court, you are in a good place with this disorder due to your healthy eating and exercise regimen.” They said I would be way sicker if I didn’t have a healthy lifestyle. My clean eating and exercise routines are what is saving me….
